Conservation of Artifacts

All artifacts that the museum collects or receives have to be preserved for posterity.

The conditions have to be so good that the artifacts are protected from any type of breakdown, whether it be in the exhibition or on storage

It is important that light, heat, and humidity are in proportion to the artifacts, just as furniture and packing material have to be of the right kind.

Not all artifacts are in a good shape when they are donated to us or found in excavations. Then it is necessary to treat them so that they can be conserved for future generations in as original a fashion as possible.

The institutions advices village museums, vestries, and others with questions of preservation and convservation.
